Inturf, a leading turf supplier since 1985 to venues like Wembley Stadium and Wimbledon’s Centre Court, needed a website overhaul. Their site was hard to navigate, and challenging to manage. We aimed to redesign it to align with their brand, enhance user experience, and simplify backend management.

Objectives

Design: Refresh the website while maintaining brand consistency using existing visual assets.

Development: Improve user experience with a new structure, clear calls to action, and fast load times.

SEO: Retain SEO value with strategic 301 redirects and proper handling of removed pages.

Administration: Simplify site management for internal teams, supporting marketing and SEO efforts.

Ecommerce: Implement WooCommerce, allowing products to be listed as ‘enquire’ or ‘buy now’.

Solution

We adopted an agile approach, developing the new site in a secure staging environment for continuous feedback from Inturf. Utilising WordPress and WooCommerce met their platform preferences, while hosting with Krystal ensured security, compliance, and environmental alignment.

To preserve SEO, we analysed the old site’s structure and metadata, replicating them on the new site. Anticipating a temporary SEO impact post-launch, we took steps to minimise it amid Google’s algorithm changes.

Ecommerce was rolled out in phases, starting with one core product. We designed templates to toggle ecommerce features per product, maintaining structural consistency to benefit SEO. Post-launch, we configured Google Analytics via Tag Manager, empowering Inturf to manage their marketing campaigns effectively.
