ATGBICS: Shopify 2.0, 10,000+ products and plans for growth
ATGBICS supply compatible network transceivers and connectivity solutions to industrial and enterprise clients worldwide, shipping from the UK across dozens of countries.
Their existing Shopify website had grown organically over time and was showing the strain. With thousands of products, inconsistent data and navigation that made finding the right part genuinely difficult, they needed more than a refresh — they needed a proper platform.
Service & Technology
- Upgraded the theme to Shopify 2.0, building bespoke sections to support specific product and category requirements
- Implemented advanced product filtering using Shopify metafields, so customers can narrow by vendor, spec and form factor
- Overhauled product data across 7,500+ SKUs using Matrixify, fixing formatting issues and standardising specifications
- Rebuilt product specification tables as responsive, metafield-driven grids (replacing broken HTML tables)
- Preserved all existing URL structures throughout to protect strong existing search rankings
- Added a B2B purchasing flow to support volume orders from international resellers and distributors
ATGBICS rank in positions one to three on Google for thousands of specific part codes — the kind of high-intent, niche search terms that convert directly to sales.
Maintaining those rankings through a significant platform change required careful planning, and search performance remained strong post-launch.
The improved navigation and filtering have made the site considerably easier to use for customers who know exactly what they need, as well as those working through compatibility requirements for the first time.
Since launch, ATGBICS have continued to grow the platform independently, adding new product categories, building out a technical content programme and achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification.
The site now serves as a genuine business tool, not just a shopfront.
Results are looking good.
Comparing Q1 2026 with the same period the previous year, total sales are up 57 per cent and net sales up 61 per cent, with average order value increasing by 22 per cent.

Sessions grew by 368 per cent year on year, a reflection of both the improved site structure and ATGBICS's continued investment in content and product expansion. The upgraded Shopify platform and restructuring that came with it that we built has scaled with the business, supporting growth from around 7,500 SKUs at launch to over 20,000 today.

Webcetera have proven to be one of our most valued service providers. Their commercially aware approach preparing for and delivering the successful redevelopment of our website was very professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending Webectera for similar projects.
