Merchant Park

Merchant Park is a £90m development project covering a 65-acre site at Newton Aycliffe Business Park.

A website was required to inform prospective businesses and enable them to express an interest in the developing plots. The website needed to be simple and branded to fit with the Merchant Park logo and existing promotional literature.

Another critical element of the new website was scalability and ease of management. As the plots develop, so should the website. The ability to publish news and media releases as well as pages that could be easily edited was a key requirement.

We used WordPress for this website for the ease of implementation but in the knowledge that we can easily migrate to a more enterprise solution, such as Webflow, as demands change.

Station Place

One of the latest pages we have developed within the website is Station Place (originally Plot 2). Station Place is a 55,000 sq ft industrial development owned by Durham County Council and managed by Business Durham.

This page has been designed fit with the Business Durham branding.

Plots 1 & 3

The two other plots are being developed. Plot 1 is a 12-acre site to accommodate units of 50,000 to 350,000 sq ft. Plot 3 is a 13-acre site which will accommodate manufacturing unites up to 315,000 sq ft.

As plots 1 and 3 are further developed, we will be managing the website to make sure that news releases and plot pages reflect the current phase of development.
