Chris Wesemael and CW Performance Racing Team

Chippy required a website to promote himself and his brand. More than a simple CV website, it needed to detail his results, post-race reports and be a website he would be proud to share.

Chris 'Chippy' Wesemael's website

We got to know Chris "Chippy" Wesemael through working with Adrian Goodall of Rokeby Developments. Chippy is a professional racing driver and, at that time, was racing in the RGB Sports 1000 championship.

Chippy required a website to promote himself and his brand. More than a simple CV website, it needed to detail his results, post-race reports and be a website he would be proud to share.

Adding new content, such as the race reports, needed to be simple for Chippy to do himself, but he required support to keep the website running smoothly and optimised for search engines.

Website requirements and choice of platform

The website design had a requirement to demonstrate Chippy's successes to date. We also wanted to provide a sense of motion and speed.

For this, we added a background video in one section of the home page, a cockpit recording of a race start at the Donington Park circuit.

Chippy was able to provide us with a wealth of images from past races. We carefully chose images to illustrate past successes and a sense of future goals.

We chose WordPress as the CMS to run the website and created templates to provide a consistent look and feel as Chippy added race reports.

Webcetera provides a fully managed website hosting package. Our WordPress Care Plan includes daily backups, security monitoring and weekly software updates. As well as this, we make sure the site remains up-to-date and offer Chippy any support and advice as he needs it.
